Free Adult Literacy and Upgrading Program

For ages 19 + Without a high school diploma.
Adult learners can work with a volunteer tutor once a
week to improve reading, writing and math skills.
-You could work towards your GED or increase your
chances of getting a better job!
-Programs are FREE and participation is confidential.

Spring Garden Road Public Library
Thursdays from 3 - 6 p.m. or 6 - 9 p.m. or
Fridays from 2 - 5 p.m.
Halifax North Memorial Public Library
Wednesdays from Noon -3 p.m. or 6 - 9 p.m.
Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Celebrate the nationwide Culture Days with the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21!

Don’t miss our hands-on Chinese Paper Cutting workshop, Saturday, September 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Museum, 1055 Marginal Road.

The display section for the Festival will be quite informal and each table will be shared by two agencies. There will be room for agency signs. Please be at Olympic Hall by 12noon on Thursday, October 4th for set up.
