Every year, the NSGF provides funding to community organizations, agencies, and groups to support projects aimed at reducing gambling harm in communities throughout Nova Scotia.
Two levels of Community Project funding is available to qualified applicants who propose time-limited and/or self-sustaining projects in problem gambling prevention, treatment, education, research and remedial intervention:
Community Project I: funding up to $10,000 for projects that occur over a one year period
Community Project II: funding up to $60,000 for projects that occur over a one to three year period
MARK THE DATE - DEADLINES APPROACHING!
To be eligible for 2011/2012 Community Project I & II funding, applicants must submit a written Statement of Intent to the NSGF by February 25, 2011.
Statements of Intent are typically one-page and include the following details:
• Name of applicant
• Name of the organization
• Amount of funding requested
• Brief description of the proposed project
Final Applications are due May 13, 2011.
