New project funding available

Halifax Community Health Board is accepting applications to the Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) project funding from qualified non-profit and community based organizations.

This funding is being offered for the first time by the Halifax Community Health Board (HCHB). This funding is separate from our annual Community Development Fund grants. HCHB has received additional funds from the Department of Health and Wellness specifically for projects that support healthy eating and physical activity for children, youth and families. To be eligible for HEPA funding, a project must be focused on either physical activity or a combination of the two.

Halifax Community Health Board serves residents of Halifax peninsula and Fairview. Projects must take place in and serve residents of our area. HEPA project funding requests must not exceed $5,000. HCHB may choose to completely or partially fund your application.

To find out more about funding criteria and to discuss your idea, please contact Susan Dunn at 487-0592 or susan.dunn@cdha.nshealth.ca

Deadline for applications is Friday, February 10, 2012
