Fairview Family Resource Centre/Parent ‘n Tot Meeting Place in collaboration with the Department of Labour & Advanced Education and Read to Me cordially invites you to attend a Literacy Day celebration.

The Honorable Marilyn More, Minister of Labour and Advanced Education, Maggie Hope Simpson and Karen Gatien, Adult Education Division, Carol MacDougall, Read to Me, authors Jane Baskwill and Devona Edwards, Kim Mundle, IWK Child Safety Link, and representatives from Frontier College, Keshen Goodman Library, Community Mental Health and Fairview Community Association.

The event will include children’s readings by Minister More, Jane Baskwill, Devona Edwards and Frontier College Representatives, refreshments and prize draws.

Dad & Me Literacy Program

The Fairview Family Resource Centre Presents Dad & Me Drop-in Program. The Dad & Me program is a literacy based parent/child interaction program. This program is for dads, stepdads, granddads, or uncles only and their children between the ages of 0 to 6 years. There will be a healthy snack and drink available, an art activity, sensory stations, a circle time with songs and stories. This is a great opportunity to meet other dads, stepdads, uncles, grandfathers and their children. The program will be six Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
