Dear Community Partner,
As you may be aware, Metro Transit is currently
developing a new Five Year Service Plan.
The Five Year Service Plan, entitled Moving Forward
Together, is Metro Transit’s policy document for the development of our
transit network over the next five years.
As part of our first round of public consultation for
the plan, Metro Transit is asking some important questions to help us determine
how the broader HRM community values transit, and how it should grow. We’re
asking participants to look beyond day to day operational issues, and think
about what the goals of Metro Transit should be for the next five years.

participants many different ways to provide input toward the development of the
plan including an online forum and an online survey. You can access this
interactive environment by entering our website and following the hyperlink to

This is a great chance to have a real impact on how
Metro Transit grows in the next five years, so please take a few minutes look
at the site and give us your thoughts, as well as pass the link along to your
networks. You can also use our Twitter handle #moving4ward on your
Twitter accounts if you’d like to spread the word that way.
In addition to the website, we have six public
meetings coming up next week. The dates, times and locations are in
the table below. Feel free to attend any session that fits your schedule.
