Switch Open Street Sundays

Switch Open Street Sundays September 8, 2013 10am-3pm

This Sunday, Switch will transform 2km of streets in Halifax into safe, fun, festive and car-free public space.  The route will begin at North and Agricola and go down North Park and Bell Road ending at South Park and Spring Garden Road.  The route will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to walkers, runners, cyclists, in-line skaters, strollers, and much more.  Switch Open Street Sundays is about promoting healthy communities and sustainable transportation by changing the way we use streets in the region. There will be a range of free activities and entertainment along the route including: music, face-painting, hula hooping, yoga, bike rentals, and much more.  Come out and experience the streets in a whole new way. For more info about Switch Open Street Sundays:Website: Switchhfx.ca
